iv – Shaving

Craig: Wow. I’m always slightly embarrased to have this on the front page.
J.D.: But I think it’s really necessary to tell the story, in that — the place is burning around him and he doesn’t care. He’s more concerned about looking respectable again.
Craig: Right. As my friend Ryan put it, he’s centering himself.
J.D.: Actually, we based this on another friend of ours who actually looks like that.
Craig: I remember that. We bribed him with Middle Eastern food and then invited him back to the house for a photo shoot. He wasn’t naked though.
J.D.: And I actually own that knife that he was posing with. It took forever to put all the gleam on the tile wall behind him.
Craig: I think it’s a very peaceful shot.
J.D.: Despite the flames coming in through the door. I never painted realistic looking flames before. It was interesting. And harder than I thought it would be.
Craig: But I mean that he’s found a peaceful place within all the maelstrom around him.
J.D.: Must tell you something about where he’s been.
Craig: Heh. Yes. But we’ll leave it at that for now. 🙂

The knife looks cool. And yes, the commentary is quiet interesting. 🙂

I always thought that what’s behind him is just steam and not flames..
Well, I never liked him.
