3-14 Bring Me Proof

J.D.: Dean’s shirt probably should have had some buttons on it.
Craig: Oops.
J.D.: Well, maybe he had hook-and-eye underneath. You know, like the Amish do.
Craig: Right, those Amish TV reporters… they’re everywhere.
J.D.: Shut up!
Craig: I think Dean’s apartment wins the award for ugliest wallpaper ever.
J.D.: The walls were inspired by the motel room we were living in at the time.
Craig: Oh yeah, I remember that. It had this hideous yellow brush-stroke pattern on the walls. Glaaah.
J.D.: I suppose his walls further underscore his lack of glamorous lifestyle as a TV reporter.
Craig: Yeah, he’s not the anchorman. He’s the guy that’s lucky if he gets a five-minute spot —
J.D.: — in a 3-foot snowstorm —
Craig: — on the local cable access channel. Working for News 9 is a major step up for him, even if they won’t run many of his stories.

Am I right seeing a purple aura in Dean’s eyes?

I just have to comment this. Deans eyes glimmer in purple at the last panel. If this has some meaning (magic) then it is OK, but if not then that is one of those “inferior drawings” you wrote in previous episode.

I was under the impression it was supposed to be some kind of subtle foreshadowing that Dean was under Rex’s control, or something.

Oh come on, with a green / grey / sepia type of colouration generally, you cannot accidentally colour eyes purple – It must have some purpose :p

Yes, the purple glow in Dean’s eyes was intentional. Its meaning will become clear before long. 🙂
